    Type of Program or Service:
    JOB SEARCH KEYS is designed for job seekers to find appropriate employment in their field of interest. This 4-week part-time program accelerates job search skills and includes the following:

    a) Orientation: Participants meet with a facilitator to determine which components of the program would best meet their needs.

    b) Weekly Action Team: Participants share information and learnings from workshops, access group support, set weekly goals, network and get inspired!

    c) Rotating Workshops: Topics include

    • Labour market research and job search strategies
    • Networking and accessing the hidden job market
    • Designing a winning resume and creating targeted cover letters
    • Contacting employers and conducting information interviews
    • Job Interviews and salary negotiation

    d) One-on-one coaching:
    Participants sign up for individual coaching session to address specific needs

    Eligibility: Open to those unemployed (or working less than 20 hours per week) and legally entitled to work in Canada.

    Program is free for participants and funded by the Canada-British Columbia Labour market Development Agreement.
