    Are you a person who has a great idea for a business? Are you a hard worker,
    committed and looking for job security? Self Employment may be the answer.

    What We Offer

    The Fraser Valley Self Employment Program (FVSEP) helps you make a well
    thought out, lasting transition from unemployment to business ownership.
    With 18 years of experience in helping over 500 new entrepreneurs, we guide
    you to success by offering one on one business planning assistance,
    coaching, practical training, financial assistance and the support of our
    talented and resourceful team.

    Who May Apply?

    * Residents of the Fraser Valley who are currently on EI
    * Who have been on EI in the past 3 years
    * Who have been on maternity or parental leave benefits within the last 5
    years

    Who Is Eligible?

    * Aboriginals
    * Persons with disabling conditions
    * New Canadians
    * Those experiencing challenges to gaining appropriate employment.

    The Training Program

    Funded through Service Canada, FVSEP offers business skills training and
    mentoring for up to 52 weeks. We guide you to reach your goals more quickly
    and help you avoid many pitfalls that are common to new businesses. As well,
    we offer one-on-one assistance, workshops, and specialty counseling. Along
    with our passionate staff who have all been successful entrepreneurs; our
    goal is to make you and your business a SUCCESS!
