    THE EDGE JOB CLUB (for Persons with Disabilities) - Surrey

    Type of Program or Service:
    - The Edge Job Club provides job search skills and support to individuals with persistent health issues and/or disabling conditions.
    - The four week program connects job ready clients to a professional Marketing Specialist at the beginning of the second week for immediate job search support and assistance
    - Job Search Skill Building Workshops provided in the mornings with afternoons fully dedicated to active job search (after week one development of targeted resumes and covering letters)
    - 15 hours of Basic Computer Skills Training available in the first week of every cycle for registered clients of the Job Club
    - Resource room assistance provided
    - REDUCED WORKSHOP TIMES = INCREASED JOB SEARCH TIME
    - NO WAIT LIST & NO MEDICAL DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
    - Parking reimbursement to program participants while attending the program
    - Graduated program hours to assist with building resilience and stamina

    The Edge Program offers clients the following

    - Hard targeted resume and cover letter development
    - One to one job search support in addition to group workshops
    - Strategies around disability disclosure
    - Basic word-processing & internet skills training
    - Telephone, fax, computer/internet access & photocopying services
    - Proven effective job search strategies that increase marketability in a highly competitive job market


    Eligibility: available to all job ready, motivated individuals with persistent health concerns and/or disabilities, at no cost.
